Reading your meter

Reading your natural gas meter is pretty easy. The dials, which look like little clocks, alternately run clockwise and counterclockwise. Reading from left to right, just write down the last number the needle has passed. The difference between the new reading and the last one is your monthly energy use.

Estimated readings

There are times when we may be unable to read your meter. At these times, we need to estimate your bill, based on past use and recent weather conditions. Any differences between the estimated reading and your actual use will be accounted for with your next actual meter read.
